CM Packaging Acquires PDI

CM Packaging, through its parent company Chicago Metallic Products, Inc., has acquired Packaging Direct, Inc. (PDI) based in Gladwin, MI, according to Mark Faber, president of CM.

PDI’s plastic products are sold throughout the U.S. by its direct sales force and brokers. Mr. Faber stated that the existing management team will remain in place at PDI, but an effort is under way to consolidate product lines to better serve both CM and PDI customers.

CM Packaging is one of the premier manufacturers of aluminum foil containers, ClearLock plastic packaging and board covers. The parent company, Chicago Metallic Products, Inc. was established in Chicago in 1898, and is now located in nearby Lake Zurich, IL. Other CM facilities are located in Humboldt, Tennessee, Central Islip, New York, Miami, Florida, and City of Industry, California.
