CM Packaging Acquires Stone Plastics

Lake Zurich, IL, July 14 2006 – CM Packaging, a division of C.M. Products, Inc. has acquired Stone Plastics, Inc, based in Cadiz, Kentucky. Founded in 1981, Stone is ranked among the top 50 thermoformers of custom and stock products in North America according to Plastics News magazine. 

Stone produces plastic packaging and containers primarily for the baking, fresh & frozen food, fresh-cut, and produce industries. The Cadiz plant employs approximately 100 people and manufactures its plastic products from PET, OPS, PS, PP, HIPS and PLA resins and has over 140,000 square feet of production and warehouse space.  

In announcing the acquisition, Mark Faber, President and CEO for CM Packaging said, “Stone’s existing management team, headed by Joe Stone, will remain in place. We are extremely pleased to welcome Stone Plastics into our corporation and are confident that this acquisition will allow us to continue to deliver strong results to all of our customers".
